We understand that rapid turnaround time is a top priority in laboratory services and critical to patient outcomes, especially in those patients with suspected immunological conditions and infectious diseases. It's the reason Viracor-IBT offers exceptional turnaround times. Our quantitative PCR tests are resulted the same day we receive the specimen. This is an essential component in managing infections such as CMV, which has been shown to have a doubling time of 1 day1. Viracor-IBT doesn't batch specimens for critical molecular infectious disease testing, even for assays that have an overnight run time due to methodology requirements. CMV antiviral resistance is one example of a long and complex testing procedure in which the Viracor-IBT turnaround time is 2 to 3 days, compared with the common practice of an approximate industry standard of 14 to 21 days. While our results are fast, you can be assured that we never sacrifice quality for speed.
